Sierra Peters is a doctoral candidate in Social Psychology at Florida State University (FSU). She received her B.A. in Psychology from St. Norbert College in 2019 and her M.S. in Psychology from Florida State University in 2021. She anticipates receiving her Ph.D. in Social Psychology in May, 2025.
Sierra's program of research integrates social and evolutionary perspectives to explore how long-term romantic relationships begin, develop, and sometimes dissolve. She works with Dr. Andrea Meltzer, Dr. Jon Maner, and Dr. Jim McNulty to explore these ideas.
For the last two years, Sierra has been instructor of record for Social Psychology (SOP-3004), for which she recently a recipient of FSU's 2023-2024 Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award. This fall, she is excited to be teaching a new course, Intimate Relationships (SOP-4114)!
