Sierra Peters is a doctoral candidate in Social Psychology at Florida State University (FSU). She received her B.A. in Psychology from St. Norbert College in 2019 and her M.S. in Psychology from Florida State University in 2021. She anticipates receiving her Ph.D. in Social Psychology in May, 2025.

Sierra's program of research integrates social and evolutionary perspectives to explore how long-term romantic relationships begin, develop, and sometimes dissolve. She works with Dr. Andrea Meltzer, Dr. Jon Maner, and Dr. Jim McNulty to explore these ideas.

Sierra has been instructor of record for Research Methods Lab (PSY-3213), Intimate Relationships (SOP-4114), and Social Psychology (SOP-3004) --- the latter of which she received FSU's Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award.

This fall, Sierra is excited to start her career as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee!
