PSYC323-01 Social Psychology
This course will provide an overview of the field of social psychology. Social psychology is the scientific study of how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are affected by the real or imagined presence of others. The goal of this class is to introduce and expose you to classic and contemporary theory and research in social psychology, as well as stimulate intellectual curiosity about human social behavior. The course

will address many of the major content areas, such as
social cognition, persuasion, intimate relationships, attitudes, and more!

PSYC280-01 Psychology of Gender & Sexuality
This course will provide an overview of the psychology of gender and sexuality. This area of psychology explores how biological, social, and cultural forces shape our understanding and experience of sex, gender, sexual
orientation, and sexual behavior. The goal of this class is to introduce and expose you to classic and contemporary theory and research in the psychology of gender, as well as foster critical thinking about how gender roles and relations influence individuals and society. The course will address a wide range of topics, including factors associated with gender differences and similarities, the link between gender and health, close relationships in traditional and nontraditional families, portrayals of gender in the media, and applied gender-related issues such as sexual harassment, violence, and the wage gap, and more!
